Therapy

My current practice is working with children , youth and families involved with Children and Family Services through the Kahkiyaw program through Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society and other CSD programs
I also see clients who would like to address issues such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, intergenerational trauma, intimate partner violence/family violence, cultural/intergenerational family dynamics.
My clinical focus for the past 15 years has been working with women and children from urban indigenous communities and diverse cultural communities who have experienced interpersonal and collective trauma.

My counselling approach is informed by feminist, culturally-centered, trauma-informed framework of practice.
Art therapy informs my counselling practice by providing a framework and perspective that healing is supported by our capacity to create meaning in our lives from the suffering we have experienced through metaphor, art expression and embodied experience.
My practice incorporates art therapy, sandplay, play therapy, movement, trauma intervention, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
