  • My current practice involves working with children and families involved with Children and Family Services
  • I also see clients who would like to address issues such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, intergenerational trauma, intimate partner violence/family violence, cultural/intergenerational family dynamics.
  • My clinical focus for the past 10 years has been working with women and children from urban indigenous communities and diverse cultural communities who have experienced interpersonal and collective trauma.

Approach

My practice involves art therapy, play therapy, sandplay, movement and mindfulness approaches.

  • My counselling approach is informed by feminist, culturally-centered, trauma-informed framework of practice.
  • Art therapy informs my counselling practice by providing a framework and perspective that healing is supported by our capacity to create meaning in our lives from the suffering we have experienced through metaphor, art expression and embodied experience.
  • My practice incorporates art therapy, sandplay, play therapy, movement, trauma intervention, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
